ASTANA. August 20. KAZINFORM A 12-year-old boy drowned Sunday while swimming in the quarry pond in Aktobe region. The body was pulled out from the water by the officer of the region's department of emergencies.

The same day, a 19-year-old man drowned while swimming in the Zhem River in Atyrau region. The body was taken out from the water by the water rescue service.

Another 18-year-old man died as a result of drowning in the Irtysh River, Semey.

One more fatal drowning accident involving a 28-year-old fisherman occurred in Akmola region on Saturday.
