Atasu-Alashankou oil pipeline capacity to be increased to 20 mln tons
ASTANA. July 27. KAZINFORM The project of the second phase of the second stage of construction of Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline is being implemented in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan reports.
The project of the second phase of the second stage of construction of Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline is included into the list of priority projects of KazMunaiGas Company and budgetary expenses of "Kazakhstan-China Pipeline" LLP for preparation of design specifications and estimates for 2012, the press service reports.
As earlier reported, the construction of an oil pumping station of the 11th oil pipeline Atasu-Alashankou was completed in 2011. It allowed increasing its capacity to 12 million tons per year.
As the Ministry reports, the work on increase of the capacity of Atasu-Alashankou oil pipeline up to 20 million tons per year for transit of additional amounts of the Russian oil is currently conducted.
KazTransOil LLP prepared design specifications and estimates of construction of the third line of a pipeline at the Kumkol-Karakoin-Atasu section and Kyzylzhar oil pumping station for the Kumkol-Karakoin-Atasu section, the Ministry informed. Besides, KazTransOil LLP prepares its facilities to ensure smooth functioning of the Kenkiyazh-Atyrau oil pipeline.
