ASTANA. July 24. KAZINFORM Kazakh General Prosecutor's Office still hopes to extradite the former head of the Statistics Agency Anar Meshimbayeva, who is accused of embezzlement of budget funds, from the United Arab Emirates.

As Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Iogan Merkel said after today's Cabinet meeting, Kazakhstan has sent a reminder.

"They are thinking. We certainly can not give instructions to another state," he added. "We need to exchange instruments of ratification. Now there is a holiday. Perhaps after the holiday it will happen," Merkel stressed.
