St. Petersburg to host EurAsEC and CIS sessions
MINSK. June 20. KAZINFORM Sessions of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) Integration Committee and the CIS Economic Council (EC) will be held in St. Petersburg on 20-21 June, BelTA learnt from the press service of Belarus' Foreign Ministry.
Belarus' delegation will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Rumas. The Foreign Ministry will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Petrishenko.
The 58th session of the EurAsEC Integration Committee will be held on 20 June. The member states are expected to review the draft agreement on the terms of operation of the EurAsEC Court in the territory of Belarus, the concept of financial market development and the agreements on cooperation in education of the EurAsEC member states. The participants to the session will discuss the reorganization of the EurAsEC Integration Committee Secretariat, transport and logistics cooperation along with financial and organizational issues.
The 54th session of the CIS EC will be held on 21 June. It will review the draft strategy of information society development and the program for its implementation up to 2015 and the agreement on state technical regulations. The participants will consider the amendments to a number of regulatory enactments and also the issues of humanitarian cooperation of the CIS member states. It is also planned to review the activities of the CIS Interstate Council for Exhibition, Fair and Convention Affairs and consider financial and organizational issues regarding the CIS day-to-day management, BelTA reports.
