KAZINFORM A conference devoted to the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus themed "Single customs, single tariff" organized by the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus in cooperation with the embassies of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus to Belgium, was held on February 14 in Antwerp. "European companies take an active interest in the establishment of the Single Economic Space", said Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Luxemburg, Head of the Mission to the EU and NATO Yerik Utembayev. European businessmen are interested in the principles of doing business, customs regulations and administration of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The conference gives the answers to many questions and once again demonstrates that N. Nazarbayev's idea to create a vast market with vast opportunities is a real task that must be realized," told the Kazakh diplomat. In his turn, Belarus Ambassador to Belgium, Head of the Belarus Permanent Delegation to the EU and NATO Andrey Yevdochenko noted that Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev initiated the CIS integration unions. "President Nazarbayev was the first to suggest the formation of the Customs Union in 1992. In his turn, Belarus President A. Lukashenko endorsed that idea and continually acted as an engine of our integration," he added. The Belarus diplomat briefed on the stages of the Eurasian integration highlighting the 2007- 2011 as the most significant period that defined the future of the all-round economic interaction between Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
